This remodeled 1920s California bungalow is so much more than just a two bedroom, with multiple flex spaces and work from home options including a spacious main-level den/nursery.

"City or Suburbs?” is an age-old question. Westwood Park offers the best of both. Ocean Avenue is charmingly urban; boutique restaurants, a Muni line, Whole Foods, and just the right amount of “buzz”. Meanwhile, 2 blocks away, 1411 Plymouth nestles among detached homes, large manicured lots, and tree-lined streets. You don't have to leave SF to get 3 car parking, single-level living, a dreamy rear yard, and even a front porch for lemonade chats with the neighbors.

Step inside to find inviting living and dining rooms filled with natural light and classic, they-don’t-make-them-like-this-anymore details like inlaid hardwood, built-in cabinetry, and wood burning fireplace, all enhanced by modern lighting and dual-paned windows.

The remodeled kitchen features a coffee bar and stainless appliances, and don’t miss the secret pantry at the top of the stairs! The sunny adjacent breakfast nook would also make a dynamite home office.

Both rear bedrooms boast garden views, one with a walk-in closet, the other with a full en-suite bath. A sunny adjacent den with walk-out patio provides whatever additional space your household requires. Nursery? Luxurious office? Guest room? Play space?

Downstairs, the cheery windows and huge footprint of the basement makes it yet another functional bonus area for home gym, zoom room, craft space, or rumpus room. Fire up the Costco membership and bring the bikes, because the spacious crawl space offers storage galore.

In the enviable backyard haven, birds chirp, bees buzz, and the fire pit beckons. The trex deck is your stylish and spacious outdoor entertaining space, while the turfed lawn invites hours of play and whimsical backyard campouts under the stars.

Nieghborhood

Westwood Park is charming little enclave, dotted with craftsmen-style bungalows constructed mostly in the early 1920s. Residents take great pride in their homes, which are very well-maintained; and an active neighborhood association works to maintain the historic nature of the neighborhood. Development of Westwood Park's 650 or so homes kicked off in 1917, in conjunction with the opening of the Twin Peaks Tunnel that connected the so-called "two cities" of downtown San Francisco and the vast tracts of land West of Twin Peaks. The layout of the neighborhood is very distinctive and easily spotted on a map. Unlike nearby Ingleside Terrace, which was literally built around a former horse track, the two main oval streets that mark Westwood Park were designed to keep residents from getting lost on winding roads. Today's residents enjoy their proximity to Ocean Avenue's commercial strip, which offers all of the everyday conveniences. A Muni streetcar runs right down Ocean Avenue as well, for access to downtown or south to the Balboa Park BART station. The neighborhood is adjacent to both San Francisco City College and the state-of-the-art Ingleside Branch of the San Francisco Library. For such a relatively small neighborhood, there is also a very active parent's group, making this a great area for families with kids.
